IHA NAMES JENNI VARGAS TO BOARD
WALNUT CREEK, CA – The Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA), a statewide leadership group active in health care policy and managed care issues, announces the appointment of Jenni Vargas to its Board of Directors, representing Health Net.
As senior vice president and general manager for Health Net’s Northern California Division, Vargas oversees operations for more than one million Health Net members managed out of the Northern California office. Her responsibilities include small, midsize, and individual sales, as well as provider relations, underwriting, and medical management. A veteran of more than 20 years of experience in the health care industry, Vargas was most recently Health Net’s vice president of provider relations. Prior to that she was a group vice president for MedPartners. She also spent 10 years at CIGNA HealthCare of Northern California where she served in many senior management capacities, including vice president and general manager.
Vargas
has a MBA degree from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA and a BA in
Human Biology from Stanford University. An
active community member, she chairs the board of trustees of Planned Parenthood
Golden Gate. She also chaired the
executive steering committee of Silicon Valley Walk America and was also
involved in the California State Women’s Health Council.
