Jas Nihalani, MPH Manager, Pay for Performance Program
Jas Nihalani is Program Manager for the California Pay for Performance Program. Her primary responsibilities are to maintain ongoing communications with P4P stakeholders, announce program decisions and activities, manage stakeholder collaboration and production of program specifications, provide support for the P4P committees, and maintain ongoing relations with health plan and physician organization stakeholders.
Ms. Nihalani came to IHA from the California Department of Public Health, Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Control Branch. At the STD Control Branch she directed the California Chlamydia Action Coalition (CCAC) and was the Managed Care Liaison. In these positions, she lead the CCAC in strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation and lead collaboration on quality improvement initiatives with Medi-Cal and commercial managed care. Previously, she worked for Universal Care, where she managed the Health Education and Cultural and Linguistics Department.
Ms. Nihalani earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from California State University, Fresno and a Masters in Public Health from California State University, Long Beach.
