Conference Goal and Objective
The
Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA) and California Hospital Association
(CHA) are sponsoring this conference to bring together leaders from hospitals,
medical technology firms, physician organizations, and health insurance plans to
discuss ways to improve coordination and align incentives among the principle
stakeholders in the technology-intensive cardiac, orthopedic, and spine care
services. Meaningful opportunities
exist for collaboration between hospital and medical device manufacturers in the
redesign of services lines to promote efficiency and quality.
All stakeholders have a strong vested interest in the improvement of
clinical processes, supply chain management procedures, and reimbursement
methods.
The
conference will combine plenary presentations from senior leaders in the
hospital and medical device industry with panel discussions that include
representatives from all the affected sectors.
Breakout sessions will focus on specific service lines, device safety,
gainsharing and incentive alignment, device registries, and the mitigation of
financial conflicts of interest.
