Pursuit of Value for Medical Devices:
Strategies for Collaboration

About IHA and CHA:

Integrated Healthcare Association is a leadership organization that combines major hospital systems, medical groups, and health plans for the purpose of improving health and health care in California. The IHA board also includes representatives from technology firms, government, purchasers of health services, and public policy. The IHA is best known for its pay-for-performance program and, in the past year, has pursued its "value assessment and purchasing" project for medical devices. For more information, please visit the IHA website at— www.iha.org.

The California Hospital Association (CHA) is the statewide leader representing the interests of hospitals and health systems in California. Based in Sacramento, CHA is one of the largest health care trade associations in the nation with nearly 450 hospital and health system members. Working in coordination with three Regional Associations — the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California, Hospital Association of Southern California, and Hospital Association of San Diego and Imperial Counties — CHA provides members with representation and advocacy in the legislative and regulatory arenas through an agenda designed to maintain and improve access to health care, and create a regulatory environment that supports high-quality, cost-effective health care services.  For more information, please visit the CHA website at— www.calhospital.org.
