Other Programs Overview

IHA has implemented several other initiatives over the years to support healthcare quality improvement, accountability, and affordability. IHA leverages its distinctive strength, the ability to bring together leaders from key sectors of health care in California, to promote innovation through both individual and collaborative efforts.

Obesity Initiatives

IHA has supported obesity prevention over the past several years through its Healthy Alternatives Vending Machine Program, Bariatric Surgery Study conducted by UCLA on behalf of IHA and the California HealthCare Foundation, and through exploration of metrics that may support obesity prevention within the California Pay for Performance program.
