Weslie Kary, MPP, MPH Director, Medical Technology Program
Weslie Kary oversees all medical technology initiatives at the Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA), including the IHA Value Based Purchasing for Medical Devices project.
Prior to joining IHA, Ms. Kary was Director of Operations and Applied Policy Projects at the Center for Medical Technology Policy, a start-up non-profit engaged in developing innovative financing models for comparative effectiveness research. She began her career and worked for a number of years at Aetna; in her final position there she established and managed a consulting unit that provided custom claim data reporting and analysis for large western region clients. After leaving Aetna she managed the benefits function at Gap Inc. and then at Wind River Systems.
Ms. Kary has a Bachelor of Arts from Kalamazoo College and Masters in both Public Health and Public Policy from the University of California at Berkeley.
