Jennifer Wong is a project manager on the Programs and Policy team. Ms. Wong provides project support for IHA’s initiatives on reducing the overuse of low-value treatments and services: Smart Care California and the Choosing Wisely® Campaign.
Prior to joining IHA, Ms. Wong spent four and a half years at the UCSF Center for Excellence in Primary Care supporting quality improvement efforts at primary care clinics in the San Francisco safety net. In San Francisco, Ms. Wong helped multidisciplinary teams adopt a population management strategy to improve cardiovascular care processes and outcomes, and worked as a practice coach, where she provided clinic managers with quality improvement best practices and acted as a sounding board and guide to improve the functioning of care teams at their clinics. Ms. Wong has also worked at Group Health Cooperative in Seattle, where she assessed the state of the primary care service line across 25 medical centers in Washington State.
Jennifer earned a Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy and Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
