About the job:

Integrated Healthcare Association is looking for a Chief Information and Solutions Officer (CISO) to serve as a key member of our leadership team. The CISO will be a trusted advisor, strategist, and a hands-on manager. He or she will own decisions regarding IHA’s overall solutions roadmap, technology infrastructure, be responsible for outlining the company’s product vision, implementing corporate and technology strategies, and ensuring that our engineering, product management and technology resources are aligned with IHA’s business needs. The CISO will also have responsibilities for overall vendor management across IHA’s programs, fostering effective partnerships focused on execution. He or she will also drive future-looking innovation for IHA. The ideal candidate will understand broad industry trends for short-term and long-term needs and be able to align innovation with our business goals.

Reporting relationships:

This position will report into the Chief Operating Officer and will lead a team of 10-15 staff members including 3-5 direct reports.

Core job duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the development of IHA’s solutions roadmap, data and information capabilities and maintenance to ensure that our people, processes, and technology meet IHA’s short- and long-term business needs.
  • Envision and plan how technology will be used within the organization and through our vendor partners and how to further implement new technologies to ensure IHA’s success.
  • Partner cross-functionally to fully understand the technology needs of IHA’s program, including in performance measurement (based on claim, encounter and clinical data) and in provider directory data.
  • Develop and implement IHA’s technology governance framework, underlying policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines to enhance our products and services.
  • Assess the short- and long-term needs of the organization and utilize resources appropriately to contribute to the achievement of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Manage IHA vendor to ensure service exactions are delivered including SLA development, reporting and management; consult vendor contracting team.
  • Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology and overall solutions.
  • Ensuring IHA’s technological processes and service comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations.
  • Lead IHA’s product, data & engineering and technical project management teams.
  • Establish area goals and organize team to accomplish results within budget and on schedule.


  • Bachelor’s degree, Masters preferred in Computer Science, IT or related field.
  • Over 10 years’ technology leadership experience, leading both product and cross-functional teams.
  • Must have a proven track record of transforming strategy into an actionable plan that delivers measurable business results.
  • Must have a proven track record of successfully managing multiple vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and communicate with people all at levels of the organization.
  • Ability to inspire and develop team members and create a great work environment where individuals can learn and grow.
  • Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy.
  • Understanding of budgets and business-planning.
